New Neighbors Networking Event: Help us Expand Immigrant Jobseekers' Networks

This fall, New Neighbors launched its inaugural cohort of participants in our pilot Career-Employment Coaching (CEC) Program, a FREE 10-week course consisting of a combination of virtual Zoom sessions and in-person events at Campagna Center's Headquarters. Targeted towards multilingual adults or immigrants looking for help in achieving their work-related goals, participants were matched with a "Career Coach" who will lead them through a process to create a plan to meet their goals, strengthen their application materials, and prepare for interviews, among other objectives.

In addition to launching our recruitment for new Career Coaches for our spring cohort (starts February 2027), we are also looking for additional volunteers to help with a one-time event this fall to expand our jobseekers' networks and give them opportunities to make connections across multiple industries, including but not limited to: marketing, education, health care, and IT. 

Networking In Practice
Details: Tuesday, 10/20 (Campagna Center), 6:30-8:00 pm

• This will be an in-person event so that jobseekers can practice their networking and conversational skills with community members in a safe space (practicing how to make introductions, small talk, elevator pitch, etc.). We would ask guests to arrive around 6:30 pm and then “work the room” and engage directly with our participants. Volunteers should be willing to share their LinkedIn profiles with jobseekers.
