Join us and get inspired to make your own positive impact. Your sponsorship demonstrates to your employees, customers and the community that you care about making a positive difference in the Alexandria area. We look forward to your partnership and commitment to strengthening our community. SERVE-a-thon is a service event where hundreds of volunteers come together as individuals and as teams to complete 20+ service projects for nonprofits across the City. From building vegetable gardens to alleviate food insecurity, to sorting food at a food bank, to landscaping a shelter, every hour contributed on this day improves the lives of Alexandrians. Supporting SERVE-a-thon as a fundraiser or as a donor will help Volunteer Alexandria recruit, coordinate, manage, and prepare volunteers to give their time and talent to local nonprofit agencies in need of human capital. Your support allows these nonprofits to focus on their missions of conquering Alexandria's great community challenges with the assistance of ready, willing, and able volunteers. Details can be found HERE.

Volunteers are the Heart of Alexandria - Each year, Volunteer Alexandria recognizes and honors the work of volunteers and businesses that supported Alexandria's nonprofit organizations and community. Volunteers give vital assistance in fulfilling our mission and we couldn't do what we do without the help of those who donate their time, talents, and skills. More details can be viewed HERE.

Community Toy Drive takes place in partnership with the City of Alexandria’s Fund for Alexandria’s Child and invites the community to help collect toys, games and books for families in need. Businesses, congregations, condominium and apartment buildings, schools, DASH Bus, and individuals organize holiday parties, toy collections, and ask friends, family members, and customers to pitch in. After collection is complete, thousands of toys are sorted into age categories and counted in preparation for the big day. Volunteer “shopping assistants” aide parents and guardians to select gifts for each child in their family, while little ones are entertained with craft projects. The spirit of the holiday season is clearly evident during this annual event. Interested in being a collection site? Email us.

Old Town Arts & Crafts Fair takes place annual and attracts thousands of people to shop and browse from the 80+- vendors who set up their booth at Market Square or in the Waterfront Park in June. More details can be found HERE
