55+ Volunteer Connection
Volunteer Alexandria’s 55+ Volunteer Connection program aims to increase civic engagement and build meaningful social connections among adults aged 55 and older through impactful community service.
This is a welcoming and inclusive group that brings together older adults who are passionate about giving back to the community. Whether you're newly retired, have a flexible schedule, or just looking to connect with others, this is a great way to stay active and informed.
What We Offer:
-
Monthly Group Projects & Events – Participate in meaningful volunteer activities while socializing with peers. Each month, we host a new opportunity to serve together and explore community needs.
-
Office-Based Volunteering – Stop by our office to assist with administrative projects, learn about local nonprofits, and discover ways to get more involved.
-
Community Awareness – Through hands-on service and optional learning sessions, members gain insight into important local issues affecting Alexandria.
No long-term commitment is necessary. Come when you can, bring a friend, and help make a difference. We’d love to have you join us!
