Volunteer Opportunity: Community Outreach – SNAP/EBT Farmers Market Awareness!

Do you enjoy helping your community and raising awareness about healthy food access? We are looking for volunteers to assist with flyer distribution in nearby residential areas to help SNAP/EBT holders learn about the Farmers Market SNAP/EBT Double Dollar Program.

Day: Wednesdays and Thursdays from February 11 to March 26^th, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Volunteer Requirements

• Must have access to a personal vehicle for travel to one/two outreach location/s.
• Comfortable driving to nearby residential areas
• Able to walk short distances to post flyers

What Volunteers Will Do:

• Receive a brief orientation on the activity
• Pick up printed flyers at the lobby meeting point
• Walk to nearby residential buildings
• Distribute and post flyers in approved common areas
• Help ensure residents are informed about using SNAP/EBT Double Dollar benefits at the farmers’ market

Time Commitment:
Approximately 1–3 hours, depending on route and availability (flexible)

Why This Matters:
The SNAP/EBT Double Dollar program allows community members to use their benefits to purchase fresh, healthy food at the Farmers Markets. Your help plays a key role in increasing awareness and participation among residents who can benefit most from this program.

No prior experience is required — all materials and instructions will be provided on site.
