Activities & Things To Do Around the Holidays
The holidays are a great time for giving back and being involved in your community. Below are activities we compiled for you. After signing up, each organization should be in contact with you as needed for details. Due to COVID, please ask the organization about their policies around volunteering during a pandemic. Volunteer Alexandria is requiring people to be fully vaccinated for indoor activities hosted and implemented by us. Also, we require everyone over 4 years old to wear a mask while volunteering. We are committed to taking every precaution to ensure the health and wellbeing of our volunteers. We follow the guidelines form the CDC and the Alexandria Health Department.
The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has teamed up with the Senior Services of Alexandria to create the AniMeals on Wheels program. They are looking for volunteers to deliver pet food to seniors living in the City of Alexandria every 2nd Thursday of each month. Click HERE to sign up. Begins in December.
