Wine Tent Volunteers Needed for Alexandria's Holiday Market

Alexandria’s Holiday Market is an annual signature event that transforms the Carlyle District into a lively European Festival similar to the infamous Christmas Markets taking place in Germany or France.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from December 5 to December 21 and weekdays leading to Christmas 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., vendors will sell traditional European Food, sweets and drinks combined with unique art and craft vendors to create a unique shopping experience.

The event also features the Holiday Sharing – Toy Drive program to support families in need through Volunteer Alexandria in partnership with the Alexandria City Department of Community and Human Services.

We are also supporting the Hunger Free Alexandria initiative by asking companies to get involved through volunteering and donating food.

Alexandria’s Holiday Market unique atmosphere will bring you in the perfect holiday spirit.

Volunteer Descriptions:

Set up: help event coordinator set up for the event: take heater outside; bring gas cans, wine cases and boxes to the wine tent as needed. Open tent walls. You will also welcome vendors, tell them where their tent is, and guide them where to park.

Wine Bar: You must be 18 or over to volunteer. You need to set up the 10x10 space to be welcoming and organized to be efficient while serving people. You will serve 6oz of wine per person at the wine bar. You will also sell event’s coffee mugs.

Please note, the event will be held outside, so please wear warm clothing!
