Children's Theater Set Designer

Momentum Collective Inc., in partnership with the City of Alexandria, manages a children's theater program for local youth aged 8 to 16. They produce two musicals annually. Cast size for each production is typically between 30 and 50 youth. We are seeking a set designer to assist with the construction, installation, and removal of set pieces for upcoming performances. The volunteer will work collaboratively with the production team to design the most appropriate and functional set and will guide other volunteers, many of whom are parents, in assisting with the assembly and disassembly of set pieces. A background in construction and/or set design is highly preferred. We have access to a scene shop in Arlington, VA, and will cover materials, supplies, and set transportation costs.
