Help a child learn to read! Become an ATC Book Buddy Reading Tutor
Alexandria Tutoring Consortium (ATC) is in need of reading tutors! We train volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with struggling K-2nd grade readers during the school day (between 8:00 am-2:00 pm) now through May in 30- to 45- minute sessions once or twice per week (same time and day each week). Each student is tutored twice per week; consistency and familiarity with their tutor is a key to our students’ success. No experience necessary! We provide training and materials. Tutors have ongoing support by our staff of highly qualified educators. They are available for questions and to model parts of the lesson for you if you’re ever feeling lost.
