4-H Teen Club Adult Leader
The mission of 4-H is to help young people find their spark, build real world skills, and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners. We emphasize "learning by doing" through hands-on, engaging activities and curriculum. Learn more about our local programs here.
4-H Teen Club will focus on building up teens' life skills, leadership, community engagement, and personal interests. Club activities will be determined based on teens' interests!
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise youth in program sessions
- Encourage, mentor, and be a positive role model for all youth members
- Help facilitate curriculum/learning goals
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
- Desire to help youth succeed
- Be able to step back and let youth lead
- Interest and passion in ANY subject matter that you're willing to share
- Patience
- Experience working with teens ages 13-18 preferred, but not required!
Time Commitment:
- Club meetings will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month, from 2-3:30pm
- Volunteers must complete a 1-hour leader training session prior to program start
- Short Zoom leader meetings to plan the upcoming club meeting
- Additional club activities from time to time (competitions, field trips, recreation activities, etc.)
Other Information:
- Volunteers need to go through a screening process, which includes a background check and leader training
