Wright to Read: End of Year Picnic- June 2025
Thank you for your interest in helping host the Wright to Read End of Year Picnic at the Armistead Boothe Park (520 Cameron Station Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22304)! We are expecting 175+ people, so we really appreciate your help! Please select a time slot below to either help us set up, host the event, or break down. During the main event, we will host 2 blocks of time to help spread out attendees:
- Session 1: 10:30 am-12:30 pm
- Session 2: Noon-2:00 pm
Volunteer shifts are as follows:
Event Set-up: 9:30-10:30 am
Event Support Group 1: 10-12:30 pm
Event Support Group 2: 11:45-2:00 pm
Breakdown: 2-3 pm
Please note the event will take place rain or shine, given the park pavilion will provide shelter.
*If you are helping out during the time of the actual event (10:30 am-2:00 pm), lunch will be provided via 3 food trucks (DC Slices, Empanadas de Mendoza, and Seven Guys Halal). Also, if we have many hands, we do not anticipate the entire time period will be needed.
