Family Volunteer Day 2024
***For Immediate and Extended Family Members Only*** Volunteer Alexandria is excited to host our annual Family Volunteer Day on Saturday, November 23! Activities include creating gift tags for presents, decorating envelopes for gift cards, and brown lunch bags for holiday meal distribution, in preparation for the upcoming Holiday Sharing program, hosted by the Department of Community & Human Services. Families of all ages are invited to spend time to ensure that every family in Alexandria has a special holiday season.
Volunteering together as a family has many benefits. Working side by side provides opportunities for a shared experience, connection, and conversation. Volunteering also cultivates empathy, encourages kindness and gratitude, and shows even the youngest child how a small positive act can make a big difference. To sign up your family, please choose the 'Sign up as a team' option and list all of your family members with their ages. This will give us an accurate count of volunteers for the day! We will have two location options for this event, one in 22304 and the other in 22305.
A $10 donation per family would be greatly appreciated. You may donate at any time.
