Portside in Old Town Summer Festival - Info Tent/Attendance Tracking Volunteer

The Portside in Old Town Summer Festival features live music, arts and history activities, food vendors, craft beer and more! Join our event team and fulfill a critical role to bring this free event to Alexandria residents and visitors.

Info Tent & Attendance Tracking Volunteers: Greet attendees and share tips on how to enjoy the Festival and Alexandria at the Information Tent and around the event site, collect attendance numbers at entrances, and more! Volunteers will rotate through these tasks during their shifts. People who are best suited to volunteer are comfortable working in an outdoor environment, outgoing, and passionate about Alexandria. The position may require periods of standing and assistance with set-up and/or break-down of the Info Tent.

Participating volunteers will be asked to wear a volunteer t-shirt during their shift. Volunteers will receive an event briefing document and may be asked to attend/watch a virtual orientation session in advance of the event.
