What is CERT?
CERT is a national program of volunteerstrained in disaster preparedness and emergency response. Alexandria CERT is administered by the City's Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management. Through Teen CERT, you can join the City's existing CERT members to learn valuable skills, serve your community, and help increase your school and home's resiliency when an emergency or disaster occurs.
Teen CERT follows the same curriculum as the Adult CERT program, which is based on a national standard from FEMA. Throughout the training, you will have the opportunity to hear from emergency response subject matter experts from across the City.
