Public Art Garden Planting Party
Burke Library is looking for 5-7 volunteers to assist with our Public Art Garden Planting Party!
From 10AM-1PM help us plant the native darling, Little Henry-Sweetspire- Itea virginica in the garden plot directly in front of Burke's new public art. Itea virginica is a fantastic, scented, slow-growing, pollinator-loving shrub. This plant's white flowers in early summer and deep red-orange color in winter will make our vibrant art piece pop even more!
This is a great group event, so invite your friends, family, and garden club to join in the outdoor fun.
Stay after the planting for refreshments and lawn games like corn hole, giant checkers, connect 4 and more!
Age Minimum (with Adult): 16+, Minimum Age:16+
