Alexandria Symphony Orchestra: Concert Event Volunteer

Come all classical music lovers! The ASO needs your help to usher at performances and perform other duties. You can watch the performance once patrons are seated. Come hear this great orchestra if you love symphony.

Timeframe: Approximately 4 hours on Saturdays or 4 hours on Sundays

Volunteer Duties: Greet patrons, check tickets, help patrons find their seats, assist patrons with mobility challenges, assemble and distribute programs, tidy up the hall after the performance. Arrive at the concert hall 90 minutes before the performance.

Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for a least one hour, climb stairs, carry boxes of about 10 lbs. Minimum age 16. Masks may be required.

Dress code: Black and white attire, business casual. No blue jeans.

Number of people who attend concerts: Saturdays, 980 per concert - Sundays, 400 per concert.

Impact: Help raise $300,000 towards the support of the orchestra and its community outreach efforts.

- September 28, November 16, December 21, 2024 and February 15, April 26, 2025

George Washington Masonic Memorial, 101 Callahan Drive, Alexandria:
September 29, December 22, 2024 and February 16, April 27, 2025
