Volunteer Crossing Guard Program

ACPS need your help getting our kids to and from school safely. Volunteers will control traffic at already designated crosswalks to allow families to cross streets safely to and from school. Must be willing to accept training and equipment from the Alexandria Police Department.
Morning Hours are 7:15 AM - 8:10 AM.
Afternoon Hours are 2:25 PM - 3:05 PM.
School locations: Charles Barrett, Cora Kelly, Douglas MacArthur, George Mason, James K. Polk, Jefferson Houston, John Adams, Lyles-Crouch, Naomi L. Brooks, Mount Vernon, Patrick Henry, Samuel Tucker, William Ramsay, Ferdinand T. Day
Ability to work well with others, with little supervision. Willingness and ability to check schedule and work with placement/assignment officer. Must be highly dependable. Volunteer at a school near you and a back-up location.
