Meals on Wheels
Senior Services of Alexandria provides meals to Alexandria seniors through our Senior Nutrition Program, which includes the DAAS (Division on Aging and Adult Services) Meals on Wheels and SSA Direct Pay Meals on Wheels programs. Meals on Wheels is a life-sustaining program that allows seniors who are unable to leave their homes to shop, or have difficulty preparing a meal, to have two healthy meals a day delivered to their homes. Not only are volunteer providing daily nutrition to seniors at home, but they are also acting as a check in service that allows City staff and family to be alerted of any problems seniors may be facing.
