Breaks With Impact: Environmental Reclamation

Grades 6 - 12 welcome. Breaks with Impact participants engage in a variety of service learning projects across the City of Alexandria. Students do service activities, learn about how non-profits and public agencies serves residents in their city, explore careers, and develop leadership skills.

April 13 will have a special focus on the environment. We expect to be outside for most of the day, except for inclement weather.

Please note, during this COVID pandemic. Before you volunteer please ensure the following: - That you have not been to any places and therefore exposed to and tested positive for COVID-19. If so, please do not volunteer at this time. - That you do not exhibit any symptoms of fevers, runny nose, sore throat, coughing, or difficult breathing now or in the past 14 days. If so, please do not volunteer at this time. - That you or someone you live with are not at high risk (this includes person who are greater than 65 years old, have underlying heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, liver disease, immunocompromised, on dialysis, or have a high BMI that is greater than 40.) If so, please do not volunteer at this time.
