MLK Day: Card Making - Spread Kindness

Join Volunteer Alexandria on January 18th, 2021 virtually at 3:00 PM to learn how to make custom cards for Valentine's Day! There will be a few demonstrations on how to create your own unique card by using a few tricks and provided with a few tips! We will discuss the next steps after creating the cards on where to drop them off too.
Please note to participate in this activity, Volunteer Alexandria will need you to sign our volunteer liability form. Once registration is complete, instructions with the Zoom link to access the meeting will be provided.
Materials/Tools to Gather Before Meeting: Paper - Cardstock is best to use as the card base but not necessary - Color choices is up to your discretion); Other paper - Can be any other type/color of paper; Scissors; Markers; Colored Pencils; Paint; Glue (Stick or Liquid - Each type has its own benefits/drawbacks of using); Stamps
Please note you do not have to use all of these materials/tools listed. This list is a list of suggested use of materials/tools that you can use that can allow for different creations that are made possible while creating your unique card.
Before you volunteer, please ensure:
- That you have NOT been at any places and therefore exposed where people have tested positive for COVID-19? If so, do not volunteer.
- That you DO NOT exhibit any symptoms of a respiratory illness including fever, runny nose, sore throat, coughing or difficulty breathing now or in the past 14 days? If so, do NOT volunteer.
