Translators for Holiday Sharing Program 2020
This holiday season the City of Alexandria is supporting families in need. Financial and emotional stress can dampen the holiday cheer—especially during this challenging year.
For more than two decades, the Holiday Sharing Program has helped Alexandria’s low-income families. Due to COVID, we will not collect toys this year. Please consider sponsoring a family. Click here to sign up, https://apps.alexandriava.gov/HolidaySharing.
Volunteers are needed to translate Spanish and Arabic are needed to help ensure clients are wearing masks and are maintaining physical distance, have their letter of identification, verify pick-up times, and distribute gift cards. Volunteers will also help direct foot traffic entering and exiting the building.
Volunteers needed November 18th 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM; November 19th 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM; December 4th 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM; December 5th 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. There are two shifts available each day to choose from.
