Opportunity Details

CLOSED: Looking for Flyer Distributors

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST, WE DO NOT NEED ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS AT THIS TIME

The Alexandria Springfield Chapter is looking for individuals who can post our flyers on community boards, at libraries, soup kitchens, bus stops, anywhere that prospecitve clients may be found. We can send you a PDF of our flyers in Spanish and English and ask you to print them out and post.

This opportunity is NOT able to provide community service/volunteer hour tracking.

We provide financial and logistical assistance to those in need of a Virginia state ID, needed to access housing, food assistance, jobs and more. While helping clients get IDs we also register them to vote. Many are getting ready to vote for the very first time ever, or after a long time and we help them make a voting plan, request absentee ballots or get to early voting locations or the polls. We also assist clients who need their voting rights restored.

We used to hold "tabling" events to make people and partners aware of our work, but have not been able to do these with COVD-19 restrictions, so more than ever, we need need to get our flyers out in the community.

Any amount of time you can devote to the project is appreciated.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
