Learning Center Tutors Needed!
Do you love playing and working with children? If so, tutoring might be for you! Community Lodgings is looking for volunteers who can help at least one day a week at our learning centers.
Time Commitment:
Elementary school tutors: 2:45 - 4:15 p.m
Middle school tutors: 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Program Hours: 2:30- 6:30 pm; Monday thru Thursday, Friday optional
Dress Code: Casual but professional
Locations:
• Fifer Learning Center, 607 Notabene Drive, Alexandria, VA 22305
• New Brookside Apartments, 601 Four Mile Run Road, Alexandria, VA 22305
• Beverley Hills Community UMC, 3512 Old Dominion Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22305
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will assist and collaborate with the program directors to work directly with students, tutoring students individually and in small groups, tracking student progress, and reporting weekly to program coordinators.
Volunteer applicants must submit to an Alexandria City Public Schools background check and a Community Lodgings background check.
