Emergency Companion Response Volunteer

The Alexandria Domestic Violence Program is seeking Emergency Companion Response Volunteers to provide immediate crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence. Volunteers meet with survivors at the hospital to offer support, information and advocacy immediately following incidents of domestic violence.  A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this program. On-call shifts run from 6pm to 6am on weeknights.  Volunteers are asked to take 3 shifts each month.
