Book Buddies Literacy Tutor
Through the Book Buddies Tutoring model, ATC provides volunteer-based, one-on-one sustained early literacy tutoring to City of Alexandria elementary school children in need. Volunteers are needed work one-on-one with an Alexandria elementary school student, following a provided literacy lesson plan, to improve early literacy skills, writing, spelling and reading skills. Some volunteers tutor a child both sessions. Other volunteers team up with a friend or colleague to meet this commitment. Book Buddies can help arrange partners if that is needed.
