Wright to Read Volunteer Info Night
Due to the pandemic’s effects over the past year, the need for dedicated Wright to Read tutor-mentors will be greater than ever this academic year. Wright to Read has been serving Alexandria’s children for over 40 years by providing one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to Alexandria City Public Schools students who need extra support with their literacy skills. For one hour a week, Wright to Read volunteers work one-on-one with a student to not only help improve their literacy skills and inspire a love of reading, but also help develop other important attributes that are key in their future success!
Volunteers currently have the option to work with their student either in-person in a public space or online via Zoom. Are you interested in supporting a child’s literacy skills and coaching them through elementary school and beyond? Join us on Thursday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m. for our Volunteer Info Night by RSVP-ing here: http://bit.ly/WTRInfoNight , or email us at wrighttoread@campagnacenter.org!
