Front Desk Volunteer at Alexandria Location
Key Responsibilities • Assist clients to include answering phone calls and scheduling appointments • Receive donations as well as open and sort mail • Occasional data entry or filing • Maintain the front desk and lobby of the office Time Commitment On-going, must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months of service. At least 4 hours a week, Shifts are 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (with time for a lunch break) Supervisor Program Director-Family Housing Stabilization Qualifications • Must work well with others and have good oral communication skills • Bilingual volunteers are encouraged, but not required • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, not a requirement • Patience and a passion for assisting individuals suffering the effects of poverty • Must be age 18 or older Location 8794 Sacramento Drive, Suite O, Alexandria, VA 22309 Before you volunteer, please ensure: - That you have NOT been at any places and therefore exposed where people have tested positive for COVID-19? If so, do not volunteer. - That you DO NOT exhibit any symptoms of a respiratory illness including fever, runny nose, sore throat, coughing or difficulty breathing now or in the past 14 days? If so, do NOT volunteer. - That you or someone you live with is NOT at high risk (this includes persons who are age greater than 65; have underlying heart disease or lung disease, diabetes, liver disease; are immunocompromised, on dialysis, or have severe obesity with BMI greater than 40). If so, do NOT volunteer.
