Sound the Alarm! Smoke Alarm Installation with the American Red Cross

PLEASE HELP US SAVE LIVES! The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to support the Sound the Alarm program on Saturday, March 18 from 8:00 am to Noon pm (breakfast and lunch will be provided).
Partnering with the City of Alexandria Fire Department, volunteers will visit homes to install free smoke alarms and share home fire safety education materials. If participants enter homes they will be expected to wear a mask. Training will be provided on site so previous experience is not needed.
Children and teens under 18 can participate with a parent or guardian or a signed waiver (please contact organizer for waiver).
We will meet at the Leonard "Chick" Armstrong Recreation Center at 25 W. Reed Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22305. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. You MUST register to volunteer for this event.
A few hours of your time can make a life-saving difference to families facing a home fire emergency.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
