First Night Alexandria

We regret to inform you that ALL FIRST NIGHT ALEXANDRIA SHOWS AND ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

This follows the Alexandria Health Department’s recommendation and the City of Alexandria’s agreement to cancel activities that encourage crowds to gather in a central location.

Dedicated to bringing Alexandria the largest family-focused and alcohol-free New Year's Eve event in the region, First Night Alexandria is a celebration of the new year through the performing arts. Local coffee shops, retail stores, hotels, museums and historic buildings in Old Town Alexandria turn into performance venues showcasing local talent. Since 1993, First NIght Alexandria has collaborated with area businesses, volunteers, sponsors and supporters to adapt to changing needs, begin new traditions and deliver a community-wide New Year's Eve celebration to remember!
