Poetry Reading with Seniors

Join us for a cozy poetry reading with residents! Find a seat next to a resident and start by introducing yourself. Share a favorite poem or listen to theirs—whether it’s a classic, something personal, or even a new creation. Chat about the meaning behind the words, share stories, and connect over the power of poetry. Earn service hours by spending time together, enjoying light refreshments, and creating moments of connection through the art of words!

This event occurs weekly on Thursday. Due to an overwhelming number of volunteer sign-ups, some dates will be closed once we reach our maximum capacity. To secure your spot, we highly recommend signing up early for future dates!

How to Engage:

• Ask residents about:Their favorite poems
  • Their day
  • Their interests
• If you’re unsure what to ask, try:
  • Sharing a poem that resonates with you
  • Talking about why you love poetry
