Volunteer Event Planners Needed

Opportunity Description: We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented volunteer event planners to join our monthly planning committee for the Prevention of Blindness Society’s annual Gala, scheduled for April 6, 2025, at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA. This exciting event honors Dr. Salim Butrus and supports our mission to serve individuals with vision loss.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other committee members to plan and execute the Gala.

• Assist in coordinating logistics, such as venue setup, catering, and entertainment.

• Brainstorm and implement creative ideas to enhance the guest experience.

• Support outreach efforts to secure sponsors, donors, and attendees.

• Attend monthly planning meetings (virtual) and contribute to the overall success of the event.

• Assist with "Day Of" Coordination

Qualifications:

• Experience in event planning or a strong interest in learning.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Passion for supporting a nonprofit organization and its mission.
