Grief Counselor
Friends of Guest House is looking for individuals to teach Grief counseling workshops to approximately 10 - 15 of our residents. This workshop should cover a variety of tools and practices that may assist in providing healthy ways to cope and deal with pain. The goal is to assist in building confidence for the residents. Ideally this workshop will define what it means to deal with grief are and why they are important. In addition to providing books/ songs/ Mantras that they can use for reference. Instructors should have some teaching experience in the subject area they wish to teach and be able to commit to teaching once a week for at least 8 weeks. Topics such as: Steps of grief, how to help or support someone you love who is grieving, what is grief? What are some reasons or things that people grieve? Healthy ways to grieve, Resources and services that help with the grieving process.
