QuinTango Inc

The music group’s mission is twofold: 1) to use high-quality public performance and performance-based instruction to build community, and 2) to increase awareness of the complexities and richness of the cultures of Central and South America by focusing on the values, history, struggles and celebrations we have in common. QuinTango's multi-lingual musicians and dancers (fluent in Spanish, German, Mandarin, French) are themselves a diverse group grounded in tango music and dance, art forms that originated in the poorest immigrant neighborhoods in turn-of-the-century Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Our audience includes all ages - kindergarten through seniors.
