Drivers Needed to Help Transport Clients and Make Deliveries

At Home in Alexandria (AHA) is a grassroots not-for-profit organization founded by and for individuals age 55 and older who live in Alexandria and who want to remain in their own homes, living independently in the community they love.
AHA is looking for volunteers to help with their driving needs. Volunteers will be asked to help take seniors to appointments and to the grocery store. They are in NEED of drivers that have time to take seniors to medical appoinments during the weekdays - Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.  
Volunteers must have their own car, must show proof of valid auto insurance, and pass background check. Ages 21 – 64 are welcome to volunteer for this opportunity. Schedules are flexible- no minimum hours are required.

 Before you volunteer, please ensure:
- That you have NOT been at any places and therefore exposed where people have tested positive for COVID-19? If so, do not volunteer.
- That you DO NOT exhibit any symptoms of a respiratory illness including fever, runny nose, sore throat, coughing or difficulty breathing now or in the past 14 days? If so, do NOT volunteer.
- That you or someone you live with is NOT at high risk (this includes persons who are age greater than 65; have underlying heart disease or lung disease, diabetes, liver disease; are immunocompromised, on dialysis, or have severe obesity with BMI greater than 40). If so, do NOT volunteer.
