Secretary, Board of Directors
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping Alexandrians with mental health conditions and can attend Board meetings, record minutes, facilitate approval by Co-Chairs, and distribute to the full Board. The Secretary is also encouraged to participate in all topics discussed and to offer input and support. Meetings are approximately once a month. For young people interested in volunteering to gain experience, this is a great opportunity to observe first-hand how organizations that enhance community and civic life are governed and funded, as well as to learn about public/private partnerships —in this case, between the City of Alexandria and the primary non-profit organization supporting its work with low-income residents with mental health conditions.
