Space of Her Own
Designing, craft building, innovating...at Space of Her Own, preteen girls experiment with art and uncover unique talents with the encouragement of caring mentors. Girls are paired with professional adult female volunteers and engage in visual arts and life skill lessons to open their words to new possibilities. Pairs meet in a group setting one night a week for the intial program year, which culminates in a team effort to give each girls' bedroom a makeover.
