THE MEADE CHURCH FEEDING PROGRAM
The Meade Memorial Episcopal Church has been working diligently for over ten years to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Alexandria, Virginia, underprivileged community through two hunger relief programs; the daily Bag Lunch Program and the Winter Saturday Hot Meal Program, October through March, that provides daily bag lunch meals that fill the nourishing gaps that are so common for the poor, unemployed, and underprivileged.
We are hoping to beautify and enhance not only the spirits and souls of our guest but to offer a warming to the hearts by giving our church building a burst of color variety and warmth to our gorgeous garden, upon first stepping on our church grounds. And then there will be the beauty of a stunningly painted lobby, outer and pastoral office. Finally, when they sit to partake of a meal, the vibrant freshly painted Parish Hall, will speak to their spirit.
