Martin Luther King Day

Volunteer Alexandria volunteers in collaboration with our RSVP volunteers, Red Cross volunteers and MRC (Medical Reserve Corp) volunteers will educate and prepare low-income individuals and families to respond to various disasters by distributing informational kits. The project will be 3 hours long and it will consist of two parts:  the first part will involve a volunteer training on the importance of being prepared while affiliated and unaffiliated volunteers will assemble the informational kits; the second part will consist in the distribution of the kits to over 500 households in the West End area of Alexandria.
