Furniture Delivery to Low Income Families
Volunteers are needed to accompany ALIVE! trucks to pick and to deliver donated furniture. Work is done on Saturday mornings as a team effort in the Alexandria area to low income families. A team consists of the driver and the movers (4). Valid driver’s license required for truck drivers. CDL license not required. Movers follow the trucks in their own vehicles to pack and unload donations. Volunteers are scheduled every 6 -8 weeks on a rotation. Volunteers are also needed to assist with requests for this service scheduling pick ups and deliveries over the phone.
