LOCATION:                                Old Town Alexandria, VA (near King St. Metro)

About FEEA:

Founded in 1986, the Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA) is a 501c3 with an annual budget of approximately $1,000,000. FEEA is the only nonprofit organization devoted solely to providing emergency financial assistance and scholarships to civilian federal and postal employees and their families. FEEA also owns a subsidiary, FEEA Childcare Services, which administers a childcare subsidy program on behalf of a number of Federal agencies.

SUMMARY:

FEEA is seeking a volunteer to provide office assistance on a flexible schedule (at the volunteer's choosing) during regular business hours M-F, 8:30-5pm. Varying from 5-15 hours per week (depending on peak periods).

Activities would include:

  • Assisting with contact and donor database.
  • Processing donations.
  • Drafting and scheduling e-mail marketing messages.
  • Preparing materials for meetings.
  • Processing mailings.
  • Assist in the coordination and outreach of our annual 5K Charity Walk/Run.
  • Preparing scholarship award packages.
  • Researching vendor options and organizations doing similar work as FEEA for benchmark reports.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUESTED:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel).
  • Some database experience.
